The day has come... woke up 2am... last minute preparations of election materials... ate breakfast... and started my ordeal.
It was a beautiful morning. Everything was in order until the voters arrived and we had a hard time accommodating all of them. They had to wait in line and some got the limit for their patience. The sun was too hot, the line was too long, and some did not take their meals. Senior citizens got to vote first and there were a number of them, not to mention they took longer time so that it made the others sacrifice all the more thereby causing some chaos among them and the more pressure to us election officers.
Lunchbreak for us came 2pm while dinner for the day was 9pm and continued with the job until the last person casted the vote. We were able to go home the next daybreak, as usual.
It was the longest day of our life. Now it's time for everyone to move on. I just hope our sacrifices will be worth the next years to come...
